Julie's Music Studio!
Here at Julie's Music Studio we offer high quality music tuition, whether you are interested in a Kindermusik class for your child, or piano tuition for yourself or your child. Julie is a highly qualified music teacher with 20 years experience, fully accredited with the Music Teacher's Association of NSW. Her piano teaching studio is situated in Salamander Bay, with Kindermusik venues located in Salamander Bay Library and Nelson Bay. These venues are conveniently located to all parts of Port Stephens, and are only 30 km from Newcastle.
Julie is currently enrolling students for Term 3, 2010 for both Kindermusik, early childhood pre-keyboard classes and piano lessons.
What is Kindermusik?
Kindermusik is an internationally renowned music and movement curriculum for very young children. Current research on brain development confirms that early learning and stimulation such as activities performed in Kindermusik class greatly enhance a child's overall development. Special needs children can also benefit enormously from Kindermusik and are welcomed in the classes.
In classes which include age-groups from 3 months to 5 years, with the caring guidance of a trained and licensed Kindermusik educator, your child can grow with Kindermusik without pressure to perform, only encouragement to explore, express and discover. You'll see a developmental evolution in language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self esteem and musicality!

1.Village: babies 3 months to 18 months
2.Our Time: toddlers 18 months to 3 years

Early childhood pre-keyboard skills class:
"Keynote Kapers"This is a program for young children aged 4 to 6 years which fills the gap between Kindermusik and beginning piano/keyboard lessons at age 6 or 7 years. It is created by Julie to lay the foundations for learning a musical instrument, by covering all the musical concepts in a fun unpressured way. Classes are taught individually or in groups of two
children with their Mums/carers present.

"Encore On Keys"
This first keyboard/piano course is designed for children 5.5 years and older and is a brilliant way to give your child a sound introduction to learning musical concepts and keyboard skills whilst having a lot of fun. Children love learning to play this way! This course ideally follows on from Keyboard Kapers or can be started at any time from 5.5 yrs up.
