In this class for lap babies, crawlers and walkers, you will learn how to stimulate your baby's learning through vocal play, object exploration, and creative movement, exercises, interactive dances and musical play. You will be taught the developmental reasons why we do each activity as we go along. The class is so much fun for the babies and Mums/carers alike. At Home Materials are provided which enable you to continue the experience and learning at home.
Story Time with Julie in 'Our Time' class
The "Our Time" (toddlers) classAge Range: 18 mths to 3.5 yrs
Class Length: 50 minutes
Class size: maximum of 10 children
Semester length: 16 weeks
(2 x 8 week terms)
This program introduces your child to a musical world filled with singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, sound identification, instrument exploration and creative movement. Language skills are fostered through singing, chanting, sound imitation and vocal play. Story time encourages emergent literacy skills. Listening and turn taking encourage blossoming social skills and creative dancing affirms a child's urge to move helping to develop a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness.
The parent or caregiver stays for the entire class. At Home Materials are provided and are an integral part of the class so that the fun and learning can be continued at home.

The "Imagine That" (pre-schoolers) class Age Range: 3.5 to 5.5 years
Class Length: 50 minutes
Class size: maximum 6 children
Semester length:16 weeks (2x8 week terms)
This program pairs music with story-telling, expressive language, peer interaction, movement and pretend play. Your child will further expand his cognitive and literacy skills as well as creativity and individuality. He will be challenged through activities that promote problem solving, making choices, and expressing ideas. The parent or caregiver participates for the last 10 minutes of the class. Once again At Home Materials are provided as and integral part of the enjoyment and learning process.

The Kindermusik "Adventures" class
Age range: 3.5 to 5.5 years Class length: 60 minutes
Class size: maximum 6 children
Term length: 6 weeks
This program is a shorter semester option for your pre-schooler, lasting for 6 weeks rather than 16, giving you and your child more flexibility for fitting into a program. It is designed for the same age-range as "Imagine That", and contains the same types of activities built around a theme. Each class lasts for 60 minutes, and comes with "at home materials". The first 45 minutes of the class are without the parent/caregiver; and the last 15 minutes is a sharing time with the parent/caregiver and siblings.
2. Keynote Kapers
"Keynote Kapers" is a program Julie has developed which introduces the young child (age 4.5 to 6 years) to musical concepts and pre-keyboard skills, preparing them for piano or keyboard lessons at age 6 or 7 years. This program works best with 2 children and their Mums in a group situation so that we can play musical games together which teach concepts such as rhythm, beat, very basic musical notation, pitch, high and low, dynamics and expression. This program follows on perfectly from Kindermusik but is also excellent as a starting point for musical education for those who have not done Kindermusik.

3. Piano LessonsPiano/keyboard lessons are available for children (age 5.5 yrs and up) to adults of all ages, from beginners to advanced levels. All styles are taught, whether your preference is classical, modern, popular, jazz or blues, or a mixture of these. Julie uses the "Encore on Keys" method of tuition for beginners, believing this to be the best all-round approach and the most fun! It also follows on naturally from Kindermusik and Keyboard Kapers. There is also an Encore on Keys course for older beginners and adults. Julie also prepares students for exams if they wish.
